David Mutal
Decades of architecture, one book.
A monograph on the work of David Mutal, one of Peru's most prominent contemporary architects: 300 pages of photography, plans, drawings, archival images and essays. Making it meant looking back over decades of his career and selecting, from an extensive body of work, what tells his story best. We began with Mutal himself, his calm temperament, his thinking, his drawings, because the book had to read in his own voice. That is why its structure follows the way he organizes his material: his background, the evolution of his work and his deep connection to Peru.
